Departure in the morning to visit a modern "Dairy" where you will witness all the stages of the production of Parmigiano Reggiano and learn everything about the King of cheeses.
After the visit we will taste the Parmigiano at different ages and, if you like, it will be possible to buy cheeses at advantageous prices.
Drive in the Modena area to visit a family producer of traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena. The owner will explain where and how the balsamic is produced; we will do a tasting of the product at various ages (6, 12, 25 years) and we will learn how and when to use them.
Our lunch will be at a charming restaurant nearby owned by chef Luigi, very creative and friendly. Luigi will prepare a lunch for us, which includes a plate of Parmesan, balsamic and prosciutto di Parma and other traditional dishes accompanied by Lambrusco, the typical red sparkling wine of the Modena area, an excellent accompaniment to salumi and Parmigiano. All his dishes are a feast for the eyes as well as delicious.
