Sunday
Get settled, visit Bologna, enjoy an aperitif and welcome dinner in Dozza
We'll meet you at the Bologna airport or train station and provide private transfer to your hotel that is ideally situated in the heart of Bologna.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the Bologna city center with an English-speaking guide for an introduction of Bologna and the Emilia Romagna region.
In the late afternoon we drive to Dozza, a charming medieval hilltop town. We'll enjoy a dinner of regional dishes at a traditional beautiful restaurant frequented by locals.

Monday
Ceramic workshop, wine tasting, lunch, cook with Elena and dinner
We'll begin the day with a drive to Romagna and the first stop will be in Faenza, famous for its ceramics. We will stop at a ceramic workshop, to watch the artists and artisans at work decorating pottery. In the shop you will admire the traditional and modern refined decorations.

Then we proceed to the hills of Romagna. Stop at a winery to taste some of their regional wines: Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Albana, and others. Light lunch at the winery.
We drive for few more minutes to a very pretty village for a pleasant, comfortable walk and a gelato.
In the afternoon, we'll reach a beautiful farmhouse in the hills to assist Elena in preparing the best lasagna you have ever had!
Dinner will follow.

Tuesday
Culatello and prosciutto di Parma visit and tasting, lunch, wine tasting, dinner
On Tuesday morning, we drive to the area of Parma to visit a producer of the King of cured meats, culatello. The visit ends with a tasting.
We will proceed to the hills of Parma where you will get to see all the steps in the preparation and agings of prosciutto di Parma.
Our lunch will be at a trattoria in the hills, with gorgeous view.
A wine tasting will follow at a nearby winery.
Back to Bologna.

Wednesday
Gelato class, lunch at typical trattoria, dinner in Bologna
In the morning, we'll have a gelato class at Bologna Gelato University. Following your teacher's instructions you will make your gelato with seasonal fruits and enjoy the finished product!
Then we drive to a nearby very typical trattoria for our lunch.
Back to Bologna and free time.

Thursday
Parmigiano Reggiano cheese factory visit and tasting, Lambrusco wine tasting, great lunch, balsamic vinegar visit and tasting
In the morning we drive to a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese factory to watch all stages of production and finish the tour with a delicious cheese tasting.
Visit to a farmhouse, for a sampling of different kinds of Lambrusco, the red sparkling wine of the region that is a perfect accompaniment to Parmigiano. Taste five wines, all sparkling!
We will enjoy a gourmet lunch at Luigi's restaurant.
The menu includes dishes featuring Parmigiano, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar. Along with Luigi's delectable dishes, we'll sip local wines.
The last visit of the day will be to a producer of traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena, where you will see firsthand how it is made and aged. We will taste it at its various ages and learn how and when to use it in cooking. We will then return to Bologna in the late afternoon where you will enjoy dinner on your own.

Friday
Ravenna visit, lunch in osteria, visit Saline di Cervia (salt pans), hand printed textile workshop visit, farewell seafood dinner
In the morning we drive to Ravenna to visit the "city of mosaics", Unesco site.
Lunch will be in a great osteria, with traditional food that include "piadina".
After lunch we visit the nearby Saline di Cervia, where a high quality "sweet" salt is produced.
Traditionally the first sample of a production ran is offered as a gift to the Pope. The area "wetland" is considered of big naturalistic value. Since 1979 flamingos, knights of Italy, avocets and other protected species live there.
Our fish and seafood farewell dinner will be at a very nice restaurant in a nearby little town on the Adriatic Sea.
Lunch will be in a great osteria, with traditional food that include "piadina".
After lunch we visit the nearby Saline di Cervia, where a high quality "sweet" salt is produced.
